Who can Attend?

Tacoma Tmen discussion group meetings are for people who were assigned female at birth, who do not identify as female. This includes those who identify as male, FtM, trans men, transmasculine, trans*, genderqueer, genderfluid, non-binary, agender, or are questioning their gender identity.

We support all people’s right to self identification and self determination regarding transitioning (you know yourself best!).  All stages, types, and needs for transition are welcome. Yes, we really do mean ALL stages of transition.

Sometimes folks like to bring a friend along for support to their first meetings. If your friend is part of the demographic mentioned above, please feel free to bring them along to stay for the whole meeting. If they are not, they are welcome to walk you to the door and check out the space before the meeting, but they can’t stay for the meeting. If they are your ride to the meeting, they are welcome to wait in the parking lot, or grab a drink/meal at one of the restaurants nearby

If you’re a cisgender ally (not trans), or a trans person who was assigned male at birth (e.g. MtF), we hope this website can help you find resources. However, our monthly meetings are strictly for those who were assigned female at birth, and identify within the spectrum initially mentioned. Please know that we appreciate and value your support.

At this time, there continues to be a need for a group that is exclusively for trans and non-binary folks who were assigned female at birth.
